Stephen and Damita are both from New Orleans, Louisiana. They first came to Alaska through the US Air Force for 4 years. The second time was through the irresistible call of God. In 2011 they sold everything, packed up some personal belongings, their three children, a parakeet and a pug and moved back to Alaska to serve as missionaries with This Generation Ministries. They then pastored Nenana Assembly of God and more recently served as Student Pastors for Anchorage First Assembly of God.

Stephen and Damita bring with them not only their love for God and serving people but also years of culinary experience being built on the foundation of the unique cuisine that only be found in the City of New Orleans.
